What Is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced "chee gung") literally means "energy practice." It is a mind-body exercise system that originated in China thousands of years ago. It combines deep breathing, slow movement and mental focus to facilitate a smooth flow of vital energy (qi) through the body. Qigong practice can produce many healthful benefits, including stress reduction, blood pressure regulation, strengthening of the immune system, and reduction of pain.
